Are You Into Marketing Job? Here Are Some Of My Marketing Tricks That Work For Me.


Marketing job is the sweetest job to do if you understand how it works. Yes i am a marketer, i work with Diamond Bank as a Sales Executive for 4 years and still counting, i must tell you it has been a wonderful experience. There are good days as well as they are bad days. Believe me when i tell you marketing job is the best part of Banking and any 9-5 job, although it looks or seem stressful but its worth it, you learn a lot , you meet and
relate with people and build your network, putting in mind that what ever you are doing today is for the betterment of tomorrow. 

 Someone might tell you that you should leave today because we are not sure of tomorrow true word but what if tomorrow comes? I don't want to divert from the reason for this post as am going to do a full post on this topic much later.
Now back to why am here, as mentioned earlier,  been a marketer for 4 years now is no joke and I have learnt a lot from this expereience. I can boldly tell you i will do marketing as long as the Lord keep strenghting me but of course not marketing for someone else or company ***smiles***

 Here are some tips and tricks I applied as a marketer that work for me, you can try them too.

  • Firstly you need to love and accept the job. Many persons applied for the marketing job but majority of us just find ourselves there bacause there is no better offer and we need to get income, but which ever way the entering point is so long we are there already the very first thing to do is to love and accept the job else you will get frustrated and quit without trying.
  • Be presentable and carry a smiling face always. This works like magic, many of us feel we don't have good clothes because they are not foreign or expensive but that's not true, looking presentable have nothing to do with your clothe type, all you need do is make sure the ones you have is well washed, ironed and combined in beautiful ways along side some cute smiles ( practice or fake the smile if possible it doesn't matter, just smile softly) this always path ways for you to bring on what you have.
  • Work hard and smart. Be proactive and timely in anything you do. You have to schedule your daily activities, set task at different times and make sure you achieve them within the set time. Working as a bank marketer i always have target both the number of accounts to be open and the amount one must bring to the bank within a stated period, what I do is divide my budget into the number of days so I know what to deliver daily and make sure I achieve it. You should apply same method.

  • Customers satisfaction is very key, there is nothing more sweeter in marketing than getting referrals. Treat a particular customers very well and watch him / her keep referring people to you and talking about it. It pays.

  • Be persistence and always maintain eye contact. Never take no for an answer, always keep pushing until you get a positive response and also while talk to a customer trynto mentain eye contact ( look straight into the eyes of the customer and intimidate him/her, when you do, saying no to your request will be ready hard) 

  • Do not compromise for any reason. This is very important, as a marketer my dear you will see things and you will meet all manner of humans with different demands, please don't compromise yourself or your company's policy for customers sake, they are not worth it. Some will come with sexual demands ( both male and female) just to help you meet your target, please do not compromise yourself else you will become a sex slave as long as you want to keep your job, maintain your stand and standard and you will have that customer for life, they will respect your friendship and will always want to do business with you for life. Some will want you to bi-court some policies please don't because when the ship is down those customer will deny you and you might loss your job so please do not compromise.
