Importance of Side Hustle And Some Ideas You Can Start

Having one source of income for me is not ideal and should not be adopted by any. Many individuals especially professional doing  8 -5 job do make the mistake of settling for their job as their only source of income instead of trying out other things along side, its a very risky thing to do, yes, you are earning money but have you thought of growing it? That's the power of side hustle, it help you grow your finance. Before i go into details lets firstly understand what side hustle is all about.


Side hustle just as the name implies is something you, as long its another means of generating extra funds its called a side hustle. Professional aspiring to be entrepreneurs should have a side hustle. Most big successful businesses you see today started as the side hustle they where into alone with their regular job. Side hustle is very important not only financially but also in self development, I will do a details post on how side hustle aid self development but for now let stick to some side hustle ideas.

• BLOGGING / VLOGGING

Blogging and Vlogging is a very reliable means of making good money and its very easy and affordable to start, all you need do is create good and rich content on your blog/vlog that will attract traffic and build wide range of readers and then you can  monetizing your blog by applying for google Adscene , selling advertisement space for businesses and service and so on.

• SELLING ON ECOMMERCE 

 There so many eCommerce platforms like Jumia, Konga you can sell your goods with, all you need do is get registered with them, take good pictures of your products and upload on these online platforms (store), buyers will contact you and you get to sale to them.

• MANAGING SMALL BUSINESSES SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT 

Social media is a very powerful tool for business this days and we all have come to appreciate it, many business owners are not good with social media but they really want to sell, so all you have to do is to locate those business and help them manage their accounts.

• AFFILIATE MARKETER 

 You can become an affiliate marketer and make commission from it. Some company / businesses already have this program you can start with them or even help those that don't have such programs to create it.

• PERSONAL SHOPPER 

This is also another better way of making extra cash. There are alot of people who don't just know how to shop while some don't have time to go shopping, you can do their shopping for them and get paid for it.

• FREELANCE WRITER 

If you like writing you can write articles for bloggers for them to publish in their blog, book writers an so on and get paid for it.

• CONSULTANT 

You can become a consultant to firms if you already have a profession. Consultancy have different areas you can venture into, you can became a fashion consultant, IT consultant, financial consultant, travel consultant and so on.



There are lots of side hustle you can do outside the above mentioned, i do a regular 8:5 job that is very demanding yet i still do buying and selling of luxury designers watches as a side hustle with my weekends that am suppose to be resting and its really paying off, you should get one as long as it doesn't affected your performance at work.
